In addition, the A Mother's Cry vision is to become not just an organization, but a powerful, transformative movement—a living, breathing source of healing, advocacy, and empowerment for mothers across the nation.
We seek to be a trusted bridge and referral source, connecting mothers from all walks of life to the resources, support, and communities they need in critical areas such as mental health, self-care, spiritual healing, maternal health, justice reform, and confronting systemic biases and racism.

Our Story
A Mother's Cry is a Maryland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting mothers with incarcerated children nationwide. Since 2000, we have been providing resources and community outreach events that address the financial, social, and emotional challenges faced by these families. We believe in taking action with urgency and strive to make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

By acknowledging the disproportionate impact of mass incarceration on certain communities, we can work towards creating a more just and equitable system for all.
