The Crisis Center provides emergency and on-going assistance for individuals and families in need. It opened in 1984 to serve the poor from the Lower Shore counties of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.

Lead4Life, Inc. (L4L) was founded in 2008 in an effort to reduce the number of youth and young adults entering the juvenile justice system, as well as many out-of-home placements, and the youth recidivism rate in our surrounding communities. Our programs are developed utilizing restorative justice, strength-based models, trauma-informed approaches, client-centered practices, and community service initiatives. Together, we are the village making a difference.

Maryland Second Look Coalition is a group of previously incarcerated individuals, family members of incarcerated people, and justice system advocates working to create second chances in Maryland through Second Look legislation (SB 123/HB 724)

Pregnancy Care Clinic of the Eastern Shore is a non-profit organization that has been serving the needs of those making pregnancy decisions since 1982. In a confidential and caring environment, our trained staff is committed to helping you explore the information you need to make choices that are best for you.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to transform the cultural and generational norms that perpetuate interpersonal and structural violence against Black women.  We aim to provide culturally-specific programming and initiatives in order to promote both personal and community healing.

The Family Support Network (FSN) is a support system for Black people, especially women, whose loved ones are serving life sentences in Maryland. Nothing is more important to us than breaking down the barriers that isolate us.  We know all too well the uncertainty and shame that forces family members into a place of invisibility and isolation.  We share in each others’ struggles and successes, because we are all going through it together.

Count the kicks is an app that encourages pregnant women to check on their baby's health. It also educates women on what is normal for their babies.

BMMA Inc. is a network of Black women-led and Black-led, birth and reproductive justice organizations and multi-disciplinary professionals, working across the full-spectrum of maternal and reproductive health.

PRISM provides free legal guidance and support to current individuals incarcerated within the Maryland Division of Correction and Patuxent Institution regarding violations of their federal civil rights under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, state habeas corpus claims, and incarcerated individual grievance office cases. Representation or advice to individuals encompasses sentence calculation problems, medical treatment issues or improper living conditions, as well as violations of constitutional rights of religion, association, etc.
