Midnight Musings of the A Mother's Cry Visionary

A Mother’s Cry is not just an organization. It is not a side project, a passing passion, or a part-time venture. It is a movement—a calling that flows from the depths of my soul. This work is an expression of my passion, my purpose, and my destiny. It is the heartbeat of my life’s journey, woven through every experience, every tear shed, and every battle fought for justice, redemption, and restoration.

This movement was birthed from my own pain, transformed into power. As a mother who has walked the long, lonely road of incarceration alongside my child, I know the weight of this struggle intimately. But I also know the strength that comes from turning sorrow into action, despair into hope, and injustice into change.

A Mother’s Cry is a call to rise—not just for me, but for every mother, every child, and every family impacted by mass incarceration. It is a sanctuary for those seeking support, a platform for those demanding change, and a light in the darkness for those who refuse to be forgotten.

This is not just a mission—it is my life’s work. A movement that will not be silenced. A legacy that will not be lost. A revolution of love, justice, and redemption that will continue until every mother’s cry is heard.

As a visionary, my mind rarely sleeps, even when my body does. There are nights when I awake in the stillness, my spirit stirred by ideas that refuse to be ignored. In those moments, I reach for my notebook or my phone, capturing the thoughts that flood my mind—notes, strategies, plans for implementation.

Some may call it restlessness, but I call it divine download. The quiet hours, when the world is hushed, often bring the clearest revelations. There’s something sacred about the night, a space where distractions fade, and creativity flows unhindered. It’s as if God whispers in the silence, planting seeds of purpose that demand to be cultivated.

Not every idea manifests immediately. Some notes remain scribbles on a page, waiting for their appointed time. Others ignite action, becoming blueprints for transformation—whether in my personal life, my ministry, or my work in the community.

Being a visionary means embracing these moments. It means recognizing that inspiration does not always operate on a convenient schedule. It requires obedience to the call, discipline to document the vision, and faith to see it through.

So, if you too find yourself waking in the middle of the night with ideas pressing on your heart, don’t dismiss them. Write them down. Sit with them. Pray over them. Because what may seem like midnight musings could very well be the foundation of something extraordinary.
