We're Not Missing, We're Invisible

ree

We Are Missing, Not Invisible.

Every year, nearly a hundred thousand Black women and girls vanish in America. Not overseas. Not decades ago. Right here. Right now.

97,577 Missing Black Females in 2024.And more names are added every single day. Many never make it home.

That’s mothers, daughters, sisters, friends. And too often, their stories never hit the news. Their names don’t trend. Their cases move too slow.

We can’t keep pretending we don’t see it. We have to protect each other.

So, here’s what you can do — right now:

  • Travel in pairs or small groups.

  • Send pinned locations to family or friends.

  • Be honest about where you’re going.

  • Keep protective gear in your car and on your person.

  • Share recent photos with someone you trust.

  • Keep your phone charged and your location on when meeting someone new.

  • Always let one person know your plans.

  • And if someone you love goes missing, report it immediately. The 24-hour waiting rule? That’s a myth.

“24 hours is too long.”

Talk about it. Post about it. Hit share now. Because silence is how they disappear twice.

We are not missing. We are missing from attention. And that ends when we start talking.

Share this with at least 10 people. Post it on your page. Protect Black women and girls.
